Marco Monzon Women Soccer Head Coach

Marco Monzon

“My coaching philosophy is positional play, possession based. I like my teams to dictate the game through ball possession.”

Highline Welcomes Marco Monzon as
Women’s Soccer Interim Head Coach

Marco Monzon starts the 2023 season as the interim head coach of the Highline Women’s Soccer Team.  Marco takes the coaching reins from Tom Moore, who after a long successful career at Highline has moved to the head coach position at Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech).

A native of Seattle, Marco returns to Highline after playing for the men’s soccer team two years, the last as team captain and an all-star.  He then transferred to and started for Humbolt State College.

After college, Marco played semi-professionally for Oly Town FC and in Mexico, and most recently played professionally in Sweden.  After his playing days, Marco turned to coaching and most currently has been coaching at Dragons FC. In addition to club coaching he also does private technical training.

From Coach Monzon: “I’m excited to be here and get things started! This program helped me a lot. I played here for 2 years and I grew so much as a player and person off the field. It’s an honor for me to now get the opportunity to come back and share my experiences to help the next generation of players on and off the field.”
