A very successful season came to a disappointing end as the HCC Volleyball team, after making it to the quarterfinals with wins over Yakima Valley and Bellevue,  lost to eventual tournament champion Blue Mountain in the quarterfinals, and then to Linn-Benton in the loser’s bracket, to end its playoff hopes.

Highline ends its season at 23-12 and 13-1 in league, winning the NWAACC West Division.  The team accumulated multiple honors, including Chris Littleman as NWAACC West Division Coach of the Year, Mikaela Ballou as Most Valuable Player, Miranda Grieser and Mikaela Ballou as First Team All-Stars, and Jessica Markham and Danielle Tabor as Second Team All-Stars.  Although the team loses Ballou, Grieser, Ashley Barnum, and Riley Kimmel  to graduation,  the volleyball team, with a core of 10 freshmen , will give its fans something to look forward to next year, and the rest of the league something to think about.
